A New Sight

People who have cataracts are not able to see as well as others. Cataracts interfere with vision, and can permanently cause vision problems if not corrected. The only way to correct cataracts is through surgery. Cataract surgery is done by an ophthalmologist. It is an outpatient surgery for most people, with little to no complications. After the surgery is completed, the patient will not be able to drive for about a week until the eye heals. A follow up appointment is required to check the eye for correct healing. Patients who have cataract surgery have their vision restored to almost 20/20 sight. More info: cataract surgery md
