Children And The Dentist

Children can begin seeing a dentist as young as six months. Pediatric dentists can examine a baby’s gums and teeth to see if they are coming in properly, and to give the parent assurance that everything is okay with their baby’s gums. Children should see a dentist for regular examinations every six months. It is important to brush the teeth twice a day, and floss at least once a day. A fluoride rinse can be used at night after brushing the teeth. If the dentist detects a cavity at a dental appointment, then they can fill the cavity with little pain for the child. After the child reaches the age of 18, they can begin seeing a dentist for adults. More info: Dentist West Chester PA
