Moving With Children

Moving with children can leave any parent frazzled. However, there are several things that can make the process less anxiety fueled. Once you have decided to move, call a family meeting. You will need to tell the children why you are moving. Allow them to ask as many questions as they would like. This will lessen their anxiety. If possible, allow the children to help select the new home. By doing this, they will feel as if they are a part of the process. When it comes time to pack the child’s room, let them help. Give them the decision on what stays or goes. If they will be attending a new school, take them in to meet their new teachers. More info: moving Groton
